Within our walls at Aurum Preparatory Academy (Aurum Prep), we deliver rigorous instruction and positive character education, educating all students in grades 6 through 8 to succeed in high school, college and life, and serve as the next generation of moral leaders.
We also know the world is complex, inviting, and lived outside of our walls, so every year we set aside several weeks, and take our education to entirely new places and create opportunities for our students to learn and grow in out-of-the-ordinary ways.

How Does School Work Without Walls?
Our Week Without Walls (WWW) is a full week where we completely change the instructional model. The teachers from each grade level decide what the year’s adventure in learning will be and this year is shaping up to be another incredible opportunity for our students to expand how they learn, experience, and think.
While we focus on projects for the week and give our students no traditional school work, we repeatedly find this week to be a golden opportunity which students and teachers alike cherish. We develop projects across the spectrum of learning and engagement. These projects can be academic (in a non-traditional way), they can also be focused on team building or black history month.

Conferences, Parents, and Advisors
Our students take ownership for the projects they develop and at the end of the week, we have a school wide exhibition where students present their achievements, share their challenges, and give an account of the developments they were involved in throughout the week.
