Meredyth Floyd has a BS in Africana Studies and MA in Ethnic Studies from San Francisco State University. Her thesis is about how American High School student’s identity might play into how they view their education. She is very interested in Education policy in the United States, and wholeheartedly believes that education is a human right, not a privilege. For the past two years, Meredyth has helped students at the YMCA before and after-school program. She has also helped children with their homework, such as doing art activities and playing outdoor games. She has also previously worked as an OUSD Instructional Aide and helped students with their reading, writing and comprehension skills. Meredyth is excited to push students to be their best selves in life and in the academic world.
