Director of Community and Donor Engagement
Steve Love is the Director of Donor and Community Engagement for the Justice & Diversity Center of The Bar Association of San Francisco. He has more than 25 years of executive level experience, working with Bay Area nonprofit organizations focusing on the environment, higher education and social service. He has provided strategic leadership to California Wildlife Foundation, Lawyers’ Committee for Civil Rights and the Foundation for Youth Investment, developing campaigns to increase individual giving. He began his career in philanthropy working for East Bay Regional Park District where he raised private funds to provide broader public access to parks as Development Director for the Regional Parks Foundation. He has also served as Director of Athletic Development and Major Gift Officer for the University of San Francisco and the University of California at Berkeley, raising funds to provide scholarships for under-served youth. He is also active in his local community in Oakland and is a recent graduate of the Alameda County Leadership Academy. He served on the Board of Directors for Shotgun Players, leading the Fundraising Committee and Capital Campaign Committee. Steve holds a BSBA from the University of Phoenix and is a graduate of the Center on Philanthropy at Indiana University.
